DesignER

The Designer leads the day-to-day execution of multiple projects, translating concept into fully developed design and documentation packages. This role requires both a strong design point of view and the technical ability to produce complete, highly detailed drawing sets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage 2+ projects with senior oversight from concept through installation

  • Develop layouts, design concepts, and presentations

  • Produce and coordinate fully realized drawing sets, including millwork, custom details, and construction documentation

  • Lead sourcing across furniture, lighting, materials, and custom pieces

  • Coordinate with project managers on budgets, schedules, and deliverables

  • Communicate with vendors, fabricators, and contractors to ensure design intent is executed


REQUIREMENTS:

  •  5+ years of high-end residential design experience

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp

  • Ability to independently produce full drawing/documentation packages

  • Strong understanding of millwork design, detailing, and construction methods

  • Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

  • Confident communicator with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Junior Designer


The Junior Designer is deeply involved in the technical execution of projects, supporting the development of drawing sets and design documentation. This role is highly data and needs 2+ years of experience. We are a tight-knit team here at Moore House Design. We are looking for an experienced individual who loves to work and is excited to grow with us. We’re all about creating authentic spaces for our clients. In addition to our interior design services, we collect a curation of antique/vintage finds from across the country and design custom items for our clients and ROWEAM.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce and assist in developing drawing sets (plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork details)

  • Build and maintain SketchUp models for design development

  • Support FF&E sourcing and documentation

  • Assist in preparing presentations and schedules

  • Coordinate samples, specifications, and vendor information

  • Maintain highly organized project files and documentation systems

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in an interior design or architecture firm

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (non-negotiable)

  • Understanding of construction drawings, millwork, and detailing

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline

  • Ability to execute accurately and efficiently within structured systems

Design Intern


The Design Intern supports the team across all phases of the design process while building a foundation in both creative and technical execution. At Moore House, design is inseparable from documentation—this role is an introduction to how ideas are translated into fully realized, buildable environments. Need 0-1 year experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp (required)

  • Support sourcing, research, and material exploration

  • Assist in preparing presentations, layouts, and drawing sets

  • Organize digital files, samples, and project documentation

  • Assist with CAD updates, SketchUp models, and basic drawing edits

  • Support installs, styling, and photoshoots

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp (required)

  • Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail

  • Interest in construction, materials, and how things are built

  • Highly motivated, curious, and eager to learn

  • Reliable Car & willing to travel.

  • Self Motivated & Adaptable

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

  • Must live in RI, CT, MA and willing to travel to the office in Warren RI or/Fall River MA area.

  • This is an in-office position with scheduled Work from Home days per week.

Project Manager

Moore House Design is Hiring! We are currently seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of 6 years experience to join our robust team. Please find all details on our Lead Project Manager position below. This is a Full-Time in-person position.

This person will work directly with the Principal Designer & Project Designers. They will be involved in all the aspects of making a project come to life! We are a team that comes first and foremost. We are looking for an experienced individual who loves to work and is excited to grow with us here at Moore House Design. We’re all about creating authentic spaces for our clients. In addition to our interior design services, we collect a curation of antiques/vintage finds and design custom items for our clients and our soon-to-be e-commerce site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Preparation of proposals and purchase orders using software
- Create and monitor project budgets
- Create and monitor project schedules and sourcing information
- Source and suggest furniture, fabric, etc. for Designer approval
- Place, process and manage all vendor orders through completion
- Procure estimates from trades and vendors
- Coordinate deliveries to project sites and warehouse storage facilities
- Create client presentations and digital design boards in Canva or InDesign
- Schedule and attend  all client meetings, including project site visits and design meetings
- Produce paint, lighting, hardware, plumbing and tile schedules for architects
- Review and redline all shop drawings to ensure design intent
- Create installation timelines; organize and oversee installations
- Represent firm at meetings with architects, contractors and vendors
- Manage issues with contractors, vendors and clients. Identify and document problems and troubleshoot solutions
- Compile weekly status reports and be prepared to discuss the status of all orders on all projects at bi-weekly staff meetings
- keep track of inventory within the inventory system
- Facilitate custom production needs
- Understanding of plans and construction drawings with ability to keep site documentation updated

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 3 years project management work experience at a construction, architecture or  interior design firm
- MUST have excellent Communication skills
- Must be very detail-oriented and extremely organized with very good follow-through skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of custom furniture design and window treatments is a plus
-Possess an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while exhibiting initiative in management of all intra-office priorities
- Proficient in Excel & Goggle Drive
- Must have some knowledge of SketchUp or willingness to learn.
- Existing vendor relationships and knowledge of a range of sources is a plus
- Reliable Car & willing to travel.
- Self Motivated & Adaptable
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must live in RI, CT, MA and willing to travel often to the office in Warren RI or/Fall River MA area.
